fileWISE® products were designed to make it easy to convert all types of existing filing system into the fileWISE® Filing System.

Whether you use an alphabetical system, a numerical system, a subject classification system, or another "home-spun" system, you'll find thefileWISE® Filing System components incredibly useful during the conversion process.

First, setting up the
fileWISE®
Components is a snap...

Find a suitable location to arrange your new fileWISE®
File Dividers, decide what type of file folders you will use. (Hanging folders, standard file folders, or no folders at all)

Next, use the fileWISE® Universal Index to identify NEW locations for your files

After you've installed the fileWISE®
Software CD that comes with your Filing System Product on your computer...open the fileWISE®  User Guide and navigate to the Universal File Index, and and either conduct a keyword search for the documents you want to convert, or print out the user guide and look for matches to your documents manually.

When you find a match, simply insert your old document into it's "new" fileWISE®
location! It's not only easy...it's actually fun to do!

Finally
, use the fileWISE® Document Retention Guidelines to clean clutter out of files

There is no sense in moving old, outdated files from your old system into your new fileWISE®
system! Use the Document Retention Guidelines to determine which files can be moved into archival storage or can be disposed of. While you are at it, you can begin assigning new retention dates to the documents that you do convert from the old to new systems!
